Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information

Certain visitors to EMA’s website choose to interact with EMA in ways that require EMA to gather personally-identifying information. For example, we ask LPs who wish to download a PDF to provide contact details including name, organization’s name, phone number and an email address. Investment managers who submit their fund materials are also asked to provide name, firm’s name, phone number and email. In each case, EMA collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to determine the authenticity and eligibility of interested LPs (to access information) and GPs. EMA does not disclose personally-identifying information to anyone except as described below. LPs can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in downloading any PDFs.

Aggregated Statistics

EMA may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its website. For instance, EMA may monitor the most popular webpages on its site for internal purposes e.g. determine the efficacy of the website. However, EMA does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.

Protection of Certain Personally-Identifying Information

EMA discloses personally-identifying information only to those of its employees, and contractors that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on EMA’s behalf or to provide services available at EMA’s website, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others.
